When is 'Thala 55' expected to release?

There is much expectation surrounding the release date of Ajith - Gautham Menon's 'Thala 55'. With the recent buzz that the film may hit the screens for Pongal 2015, we investigated in this regard.

The team is actually looking at releasing the movie even before that and if their plans don't work out, then Pongal is an option too.
Till now more than 40 days of shooting have been done predominantly in Chennai and also for a bit in Hyderabad and Malaysia.
