Kadhal Kottai (Tamil: காதல் கோட்டை) is a 1996 Tamil film directed by Agathiyan, in which Ajith Kumar and Devayani play lead roles, apart from Heera Rajgopal, Thalaivasal Vijay, and Karan who played important roles.

The film was a major blockbuster and also won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil, the National Film Award for Best Direction as well as the National Film Award for Best Screenplay for Agathiyan.

Vaanmathi is a 1996 Tamil language film directed by Agathiyan starring Ajith Kumar and Swathi in the lead roles. This film portrays hatred that slowly transforms to love between two young souls who are from very different financial backgrounds.The film was released on January 15, 1996 and went on to become a commercial success, running for 175 days at the box office.
